School Construction El Haouz

School Construction El Haouz

Today, we face a significant challenge, but also an opportunity to change lives and
rebuild hope. In our rural community, the recent earthquake has left behind debris,
but most importantly, an emptiness in our hearts: that of a school, the cradle of so
many dreams and aspirations.
In this remote and marginalized area of the Haouz region,
Ait Hakim Community, Ait Zayed School, TARIQ IBN ZIYAD Branch of the Ajaan Circle,
every child matters, every educational opportunity is precious. That is why our association  is committed to rebuilding this school, not only as a building but as a symbol of
resilience and renewal for our community.
We know the road will be long and fraught with obstacles, but we believe in our collective
ability to overcome them. However, to successfully carry out this mission, we need your
support. Your contribution will be a catalyst for change, a symbol of hope for a community
in great need. A cornerstone of this reconstruction, an investment in the future of our
children and our community.
Together, we can transform this tragedy into an opportunity for progress and solidarity.
Together, we can rebuild more than just a school: we can rebuild lives and hopes

AND OBJECTIVES

In the wake of recent devastating seismic events, numerous schools have been severely
damaged, depriving thousands of children of their access to education. To address this
urgent crisis, Morocco Foundation (MF) in collaboration with Association A Better
Tomorrow (ABT), has received approval from the Academy of the Ministry of National
Education (MEN) of the El Haouz region to undertake a school reconstruction project
using concrete. The objective is to provide durable and secure infrastructure, essential for ensuring a conducive learning environment for the children’s development

Preliminary Steps :
Before initiating the reconstruction process, a thorough needs assessment was
conducted in close collaboration with the Academy and local authorities.
This approach allowed for the identification of the specific priorities of each affected
site. A construction expert was hired to perform an in-depth analysis of the locations
and to develop a detailed reconstruction plan. The objective is to ensure that the new
structures meet the highest safety standards while guaranteeing their optimal
functionality

Beneficiaries and Impacts :
The direct beneficiaries of this project are the 80 students and 3 teachers of the
Tmouselt primary school in Ait Hkim. This school, which served approximately 200
students before the earthquake , will regain a safe and suitable learning environment, essential for their
academic and personal development. Beyond these direct beneficiaries, the families
and the local community will also benefit from this project. Indeed, the continuity of
education will strengthen community resilience and contribute to the overall
development of the region

The total estimated budget for the project is 700,000 MAD, encompassing the costs
of construction, procurement of materials, transportation, installation of concrete
classrooms, as well as expenses related to school equipment and winter kits for the
students.
We are seeking your financial support to bring this essential project to life. Your
contributions will be crucial in rebuilding educational infrastructures, ensuring a
safe learning environment, and providing the necessary equipment for the
well-being of the students. Your generosity will have a direct impact on
the resilience of the affected communities and on the preservation of education as a
fundamental right for all
